The Samyang 10mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS CS is an ultra-wide prime for Sony E-mount APS-C cameras, providing a 15mm equivalent. The f/2.8 speed enables astrophotography on APS-C. NCS (Nano Coating System) reduces flare. The ED element controls chromatic aberration. Also sold as Rokinon. A budget ultra-wide for landscape and night sky work.

Optical performance is good for the budget positioning. Sharpness is respectable in the centre. The f/2.8 at 15mm equivalent gathers enough light for basic astrophotography. NCS coatings reduce flare. ED element controls CA. Distortion is present but manageable in software. Coma is acceptable for night sky work — not perfect but usable.

Sony E mount, APS-C. Manual focus only. No front filter thread — slight bulge. Weight is approximately 370 grams. Build quality is solid metal. No AF or electronics. The focus ring is smooth.
