The Schneider Componar 50mm f/3.5 is Schneider's standard enlarging lens tier — above the basic Comparon and below the premium Componon-S. At 50mm f/3.5 for 35mm negatives. The Componar provides practical German enlarging quality for standard darkroom printing. Previously described under ID 4406 at the same specification.

Mid-tier Schneider quality — good flat-field correction for standard prints. The f/3.5 is standard for this tier. Better than the basic Comparon but the Componon-S provides the premium correction. German Schneider quality above generic alternatives. Practical for standard darkroom printing without premium requirements.
