Sigma's Art-line ultra-wide zoom for mirrorless — constant f/2.8 from 14-24mm with outstanding optics.
The Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG DN Art launched in 2019 as Sigma's flagship ultra-wide zoom designed natively for mirrorless systems. Available for Sony FE and L-Mount, it delivers Art-line optical quality across the extreme wide-angle range.
Optically outstanding — one of the sharpest ultra-wide zooms available, rivalling or exceeding the Sony 12-24mm f/2.8 GM in optical tests. Minimal coma makes it excellent for astrophotography. Constant f/2.8 aperture. Stepping motor AF is fast and nearly silent.
Sony FE and L-Mount versions. Bulbous front element — no standard front filters, but accepts a rear sheet filter holder. Weighs 795g. Weather-sealed dust and splash resistant. Minimum focus distance 28cm. USB-C dock compatible for calibration.
Available used at competitive prices. The bulbous front element is the main practical limitation — no screw-on ND or polarising filters. The Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 is smaller and accepts filters but narrower range. A reference-grade ultra-wide for serious landscape and astro work.
