The Sigma 150mm f/2.8 EX APO DG Macro HSM is a full-frame telephoto macro prime for Nikon F-mount, providing 1:1 life-size magnification at 0.38m. Sixteen elements in 12 groups. Nine aperture blades. 62mm filter thread. At 771g (without tripod collar). 0.38m MFD (1:1). APO design. HSM autofocus. This is the original non-OS version (~2005).

The 150mm f/2.8 provides extended working distance for 1:1 macro photography: at 0.38m MFD the subject-to-front-element distance allows practical macro work for insects and subjects that would flee at the shorter working distance of 100mm macro lenses. The APO design reduces colour fringing at close distances. The non-OS version relies on camera IBIS or tripod for stabilisation.
