The Sigma 45mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary is a compact standard prime from Sigma's Contemporary line for the Leica L-Mount full-frame mirrorless system, part of the initial DN (mirrorless-native) launch. DG DN designates it as a full-frame (DG) mirrorless-native (DN) design.

The lens delivers 45mm at f/2.8 maximum aperture with a stepper motor for fast, quiet autofocus, full L-Mount electronic communication for autofocus, image stabilisation metadata, and aperture control from the camera, full-frame coverage, and a compact metal barrel. A 55mm filter thread.

The 45mm focal length offers a perspective fractionally wider than the classic 50mm standard — close enough to feel natural while providing marginally more context. The f/2.8 maximum aperture is modest for a prime, but keeps the lens compact enough to be a genuine daily carry lens. The DN mirrorless-native design gives better optical performance at close focus distances than DSLR-adapted equivalents.
