Sigma's AF-motor-integrated 70-300mm — built-in motor for Nikon bodies without screw-drive.
The Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO DG Macro with Integrated Motor is a variant of Sigma's budget telephoto specifically for Nikon bodies lacking a built-in AF motor. The integrated motor enables AF on the D3000, D5000, and similar entry DSLRs.
Same optics as the standard Sigma 70-300mm APO DG Macro — APO glass for CA control, macro mode. The integrated motor addition enables AF on Nikon's entry-level bodies that don't have screw-drive. No OS stabilisation.
Nikon F mount with integrated AF motor. 58mm filter thread. APO glass. Macro mode. The motor enables AF on D3000/D5000 series that lack body AF motor. No OS.
Available used very cheaply. Only relevant for Nikon entry bodies without AF motors. The AF-S Nikkor 70-300mm VR is dramatically better. For absolute budget telephoto on motorless Nikon bodies.
