Sigma's full-frame circular fisheye — 180° in all directions with f/3.5 for creative and VR work.
The Sigma 8mm f/3.5 EX DG Fisheye is a circular fisheye lens for full-frame DSLRs, projecting a circular image with 180 degrees of coverage in all directions. On full-frame, the circular image floats in a black frame — on APS-C it produces a full-frame diagonal fisheye.
Optically good for a circular fisheye — sharp in the centre of the projected circle. The f/3.5 aperture is adequate. EX designation — quality construction. On full-frame bodies it creates a circular image; on APS-C the image fills the frame as a diagonal fisheye.
Available for multiple DSLR mounts. Bulbous front element — no filter thread. Built-in petal hood. Approximately 400g. No weather sealing. Full-frame coverage with circular projection. Minimum focus distance 13.5cm.
Available used at budget to mid-range prices. A specialist lens for creative, VR panorama, and astrophotography applications. The circular projection on full-frame is distinctive and unusual. For creative photographers wanting the most extreme fisheye perspective.
