Sigma's full-frame L-Mount camera — 61MP BSI sensor in the world's smallest FF mirrorless body.
The Sigma FP-L was released approximately 2021 as an ultra-compact full-frame L-Mount mirrorless camera body, the second-generation FP featuring a 61MP back-side illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor — the same resolution as the Sony A7R IV at launch. The FP-L retains the FP's minimal form factor and is among the smallest full-frame interchangeable-lens cameras by body dimensions. L-Mount.
61MP BSI full-frame CMOS sensor. Electronic shutter only — no mechanical shutter. 4K/24fps Cinema DNG RAW video (requires external HDMI recorder for RAW). 12.6 stops dynamic range (approximately). L-Mount. USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 for external raw recording. At approximately 422g without lens. Tiltable rear LCD.
The electronic-shutter-only design eliminates the mechanical shutter vibration that can affect medium-format photography at high resolution — but introduces rolling shutter artefacts with fast-moving subjects. The 61MP resolution emphasises high-quality static imaging; the FP-L is not designed for continuous action shooting. L-Mount Alliance compatibility provides access to the Leica SL, Panasonic S, and Sigma DN lens ecosystem.
On the used market the Sigma FP-L is a compact 61MP full-frame L-Mount mirrorless body suited to stills-focused, deliberate-photography workflows. Condition checks: L-Mount contacts, LCD condition and tilt function, USB-C port for external RAW recording, sensor for dust (the body design requires care in lens-mounting to avoid dust ingress). No mechanical shutter — electronic shutter only.
