Soligor's budget telephoto for M39 — the 135mm f/4 for screw-mount cameras.
The Soligor 135mm f/4 M39 is a budget telephoto prime for Leica Thread Mount (M39) cameras. Soligor produced affordable alternatives to first-party optics. At 135mm f/4, it provides basic telephoto reach in the screw-mount system. A budget alternative to Leica's own 135mm options.
Basic optical quality — Soligor budget positioning. Sharpness is acceptable when stopped down. The f/4 is slow. Adequate for casual telephoto use. The M39 mount provides compatibility with LTM cameras and adapts to M-mount and mirrorless. Better M39 telephoto options exist from Leica and Canon.
M39/LTM mount. Filter thread varies. Weight varies. Build quality is basic. Manual focus. The M39 mount adapts to Leica M via adapter and to mirrorless cameras via LTM adapters. Not a lens to seek out — Leica and Canon LTM alternatives are dramatically better.
Very cheap. Not recommended when better LTM alternatives exist. Only of interest bundled with an LTM camera. The Leica Elmarit and Canon LTM telephotos are dramatically superior. No collector or practical value.
