The Sony Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* 24-70mm f/2.8 ZA SSM (SAL2470Z, original version) was released approximately 2006 as the professional standard zoom for Sony Alpha A-mount full-frame. Seventeen elements in 13 groups. Nine rounded aperture blades. 77mm filter thread. At 955g. 0.34m MFD. SSM (Supersonic wave Motor) in-lens autofocus.
