The Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di USD (Model A007) was released approximately 2012 as a full-frame standard zoom for Sony A-mount. Seventeen elements in 12 groups including XR, LD, and aspherical elements. Nine rounded aperture blades. 82mm filter thread. At approximately 825g. 0.38m MFD. USD autofocus. No VC on Sony A-mount version.

The absence of VC on the Sony A-mount A007 is deliberate: Sony's SteadyShot INSIDE IBIS in A-mount bodies provides stabilisation for all lenses, making in-lens VC redundant. The VC version was released for Canon EF and Nikon F where body stabilisation is absent. The Di designation confirms full-frame coverage.
