The Voigtlander Ultron 28mm f/2 is a compact manual focus wide-angle prime produced by Cosina under the Voigtlander brand. Available in several mounts including Leica M, Nikon F, and various mirrorless mounts across different versions, it offers a fast f/2 aperture at the popular 28mm focal length beloved by street and documentary photographers.

Optical performance is very good. Sharpness is impressive from f/2 in the centre and excellent across the frame by f/4. The Ultron designation indicates a premium optical design. Distortion is minimal for a 28mm lens. Colour rendition is neutral and accurate. Vignetting is present wide open but correctable. Flare resistance is good with modern multi-coating.

Available in multiple mounts depending on the version — Leica M, Nikon F AI-S, and native mirrorless mounts. Filter thread is typically 46mm. Weight varies by version but is approximately 230 grams — compact and lightweight. Build quality is excellent with brass and aluminium construction. Fully manual focus with no electronics in most versions.
