Zeiss's Milvus ultra-wide for Nikon F — 18mm f/2.8 with weather sealing and de-click aperture.
The Zeiss 18mm f/2.8 Distagon T* ZF.2 Milvus is the Nikon F-mount version of Zeiss's weather-sealed Milvus ultra-wide. The Milvus update added weather sealing and de-clickable aperture to the Classic Distagon 18mm.
Optically very good — Zeiss Distagon T* at 18mm with well-controlled distortion. Weather-sealed Milvus construction — first for Zeiss SLR lenses. De-clickable aperture for video. Electronic EXIF contacts for Nikon bodies.
Nikon F mount (ZF.2) with electronic contacts. Weather-sealed. De-clickable aperture. 82mm filter thread — large. Approximately 470g. The Milvus line was Zeiss's final and finest DSLR lens range.
Available used at professional prices. The Milvus line is discontinued as Zeiss shifted to mirrorless. The weather sealing and de-click are practical improvements over the Classic version. For Nikon F manual-focus enthusiasts.
