The Zeiss Distagon T* 25mm f/2.8 ZF.2 is a moderate-aperture wide-angle prime from Zeiss's SLR line for Nikon F-mount cameras with ZF.2 electronic coupling. It is the f/2.8 complement to the faster f/2.0 Distagon 25mm, trading one stop of aperture for slightly more compact dimensions.

The lens delivers 25mm at f/2.8 maximum aperture with Zeiss T* coating, Nikon ZF.2 electronic aperture control and EXIF communication, manual focus, and full-frame Nikon F coverage.

The f/2.8 Distagon 25mm provides the characteristic Zeiss rendering at a lower price than the f/2.0 version. For landscape, architecture, and environmental photography where f/2.8 is adequate, it offers the Zeiss optical character without the premium of the faster design.
