Zeiss's AF normal prime for APS-C mirrorless — 48mm equiv at f/1.8 for Fujifilm X and Sony E.
The ZEISS Touit 32mm f/1.8 was released in 2013 as a fast standard prime for Fujifilm X-mount APS-C, providing a 48mm full-frame equivalent perspective. Eight elements in 5 groups. Nine aperture blades. 52mm filter thread. At 210g. 0.30m MFD. DC motor autofocus.
Eight elements in 5 groups. Nine aperture blades. The 52mm filter thread. At 210g the lens is moderate. Minimum focus distance of 0.30m. DC motor autofocus — audible during operation by modern standards; not as quiet as STM or ultrasonic motor designs. f/1.8 maximum aperture. APS-C image circle. Fujifilm X-mount.
The Touit 32mm f/1.8's DC motor is the oldest autofocus mechanism type in the Touit series — later Touit lenses used different motors. The DC motor provides workable AF speed but is audibly louder than STM or USM alternatives, making the lens less suited to video recording with on-camera audio. The T* anti-reflective coating and Zeiss optical design provide the lens's primary differentiation.
On the used market the ZEISS Touit 32mm f/1.8 is affordable as a Fujifilm X standard prime with Zeiss optical quality. Condition checks: DC motor AF response (expect audible AF noise), 52mm front element for marks. DC motor = audible AF. Compatible with all Fujifilm X-mount APS-C bodies.
