UsedLens has been running for five years. In that time the underlying technology has changed significantly, but the frontend has stayed largely the same. That's changing.
New infrastructure
The site is migrating to AWS Lightsail for improved performance and reliability. The shared hosting that served us well in the early days has hit its limits — search response times and scraping reliability both improve on dedicated infrastructure.
New search interface
The search interface is being redesigned from the ground up. The goals: faster results, better filtering, cleaner presentation. The new version is in testing.
What stays the same
The core proposition doesn't change: one search across 40+ UK used camera retailers, updated daily, free to use. That's what UsedLens is for and that's what it will remain.
