Fujifilm's controversial rangefinder — hidden rear LCD shows only film simulation, titanium plates, weather sealed.
The Fujifilm X-Pro3 (2019) is the most polarising camera Fujifilm has made. Its defining feature is a hidden rear LCD that folds inward, showing only the current film simulation on a small sub-display. You must flip it down to see images — forcing an eye-to-viewfinder shooting discipline.
26.1MP X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor with excellent image quality. Hybrid OVF/EVF rangefinder viewfinder. USB-C charging. 4K 30p video. Weather sealed. Titanium top and bottom plates. The hidden LCD is either brilliant or infuriating depending on your workflow.
Fujifilm X mount. Titanium plates — Dura versions add scratch-resistant coating. No fully articulating screen. Limited video features vs X-T series. Film simulation dial on top plate. Phase-detect AF across frame.
Available used from photographers who couldn't adapt to the hidden LCD. Check the flip screen hinge mechanism. The X-Pro3 commands either love or hate — handle one before buying. No X-Pro4 has been announced.
