Leica's legendary 35mm f/2 for M-mount — the ASPH version delivering outstanding wide-angle performance.

The Leica Summicron-M 35mm f/2 ASPH is the current-production M-mount wide prime featuring one aspherical element in a 7-element formula. Manual focus only — all Leica M-mount lenses are manual focus for rangefinder coupling. At 252g and 39mm (E39) filter thread it is compact. Eleven circular aperture blades. 0.70m MFD. Leica T* variant anti-reflection coatings.

The Summicron-M 35mm ASPH aspherical element correction provides the improved wide-open performance over the earlier non-ASPH Summicron formula: reduced astigmatism and coma at f/2 at 35mm on full-frame. The 35mm perspective is the classic Leica documentary focal length — the 'normal' Leica angle associated with generations of photojournalism. At 252g the lens is among the lightest 35mm f/2 options for any system.
