Compact Micro Four Thirds vlogging camera with 20.3MP sensor, 5-axis stabilisation, and excellent video features.
The Panasonic Lumix G100D launched in 2024 as a minor refresh of the original G100, aimed squarely at vloggers and content creators. It uses a 20.3MP Micro Four Thirds sensor with no low-pass filter for extra sharpness.
Autofocus is contrast-based DFD — adequate for vlogging but lacks the phase-detect reliability of Sony or Canon rivals. 5-axis hybrid stabilisation works well for handheld video. Burst rate of 10fps electronic or 6fps mechanical shutter.
Records 4K 30p and 1080p 60p. Features OZO Audio by Nokia with three built-in microphones for spatial audio capture — a standout feature for vloggers. 3-inch flip-out touchscreen, built-in flash. Lightweight at 345g body only.
Limited used availability as a 2024 release. The original G100 is functionally very similar and cheaper used. For serious vlogging, the Sony ZV-E10 II offers superior autofocus. Good for beginners wanting a small interchangeable-lens option.
