Sony's purpose-built APS-C vlogging camera with flip screen, directional mic, and Product Showcase mode.
The Sony ZV-E10 was released in July 2021 as an interchangeable-lens evolution of the fixed-lens ZV-1, placing the 24.2MP APS-C Exmor sensor and E-mount lens compatibility in the same vlog-optimised body design — including the side-opening flip-out screen and directional 3-capsule microphone of the ZV-1. The E-mount compatibility enables full access to Sony's APS-C and FE lens ecosystem. No built-in EVF is provided.
The 24.2MP APS-C Exmor CMOS sensor pairs with the BIONZ X processor. The 425-point phase-detection AF system provides continuous tracking with Real-time Eye AF. Burst shooting runs at 11fps. 4K/30fps recording from the full sensor width. The side flip-out screen enables self-facing framing for vlogging. The built-in directional microphone has three capsules for directional audio recording. Battery life approximately 440 shots using the NP-FW50, body weight approximately 343g with battery and card, single SD/SDHC/SDXC slot.
The ZV-E10's practical proposition is the ZV vlog-body ergonomics with interchangeable lens flexibility: the flip-out screen, directional microphone, and Product Showcase AF mode from the ZV-1 are combined with E-mount lens compatibility. For vloggers who want the wide 16mm or fast 50mm prime options that the ZV-1's fixed zoom cannot provide, the ZV-E10 enables this without a different body form factor. The NP-FW50 battery is the primary practical constraint — 440 shots requires a spare battery for full-day shoots.
On the used market the ZV-E10 is affordable as a compact APS-C E-mount vlog body. Condition checks: Real-time Eye AF performance, NP-FW50 battery health, flip-out screen hinge, and SD slot. The NP-FW50 is widely available across the A6000-series E-mount APS-C family. The ZV-E10 II updated the sensor and AF to A6700-class capability. Compatible with all Sony APS-C E-mount and FE-mount lenses.
