The Tokina AT-X 12-24mm f/4 Pro DX II is the Mark II update of Tokina's constant f/4 APS-C ultra-wide zoom, covering 18-36mm equivalent. The II improved coatings and refined construction over the original AT-X 124 Pro DX.
Optically good — sharp with constant f/4. The Mark II improved multi-coatings for better contrast and flare resistance. The 18-36mm equivalent range covers useful ultra-wide territory. One-touch focus clutch for instant MF/AF switching.
Available for Canon EF-S and Nikon F mounts. 77mm filter thread. Approximately 570g. No weather sealing. Constant f/4. AT-X Pro build quality. 18-36mm equivalent. One-touch focus clutch.
Available used at budget to mid-range prices. The constant f/4 is practical for landscape. The Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 is faster but narrower. The 12-28mm f/4 extended the range. A solid budget APS-C ultra-wide.
