The Leica Elmarit-TL 18mm f/2.8 is a wide-angle prime for Leica's TL mirrorless APS-C system. Elmarit designates Leica's f/2.8 prime class. 18mm on TL/CL APS-C gives approximately 27mm equivalent — a moderately wide field of view. Leica TL mount.

f/2.8 maximum aperture. 18mm focal length (approximately 27mm equivalent on TL/CL APS-C 1.5× crop). All-metal construction. AF via TL body stepping motor. At approximately 140g. 49mm filter thread. Leica TL mount (APS-C).

The TL system uses the camera body's stepping motor to drive AF rather than a motor in the lens. The Elmarit designation (f/2.8) sits below Summilux (f/1.4) in Leica's aperture class hierarchy. The 27mm equivalent is a useful wide-to-normal perspective for travel and reportage. TL-mount lenses also work on L-Mount bodies with APS-C crop.
