Sigma's premium macro telephoto — the 180mm f/2.8 with OS for wildlife macro and portraiture.

The Sigma 180mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM APO Macro is a premium telephoto macro lens offering true 1:1 magnification at 180mm — a focal length that provides significantly more working distance than standard 100mm macros. The fast f/2.8 aperture makes it equally capable as a portrait lens, creating beautiful subject isolation at this focal length.

Optical performance is excellent. Macro sharpness is outstanding, and the lens maintains very good quality at portrait distances. The APO designation with FLD elements controls chromatic aberration superbly. OS stabilisation provides approximately 4 stops of correction — invaluable for handheld macro where even tiny movements cause focus shifts. HSM motor is fast and precise.

Canon EF mount in this listing — also available in Nikon F and Sony A. Filter thread is 86mm — large and expensive. Weight is approximately 1,640 grams — very heavy for a macro lens, reflecting the fast aperture and long focal length. Build quality is professional with the EX designation. Full weather sealing. A tripod collar is included.
