Fujifilm's minimalist rangefinder-style APS-C camera — 26.1MP X-Trans IV sensor in a stripped-back compact body.
The Fujifilm X-E4 launched in 2021 as the most compact and minimalist interchangeable-lens camera in Fujifilm's X-series range. It uses the same 26.1MP X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and X-Processor 4 as the X-T4, in a flat rangefinder-style body reminiscent of film compacts.
Image quality is excellent — identical sensor performance to the X-T4 and X-S10. 425-point hybrid AF with face and eye detection. 20fps electronic or 8fps mechanical shutter. Film simulation modes including Classic Neg and ETERNA Bleach Bypass. Great JPEG output.
Ultra-compact body at 364g. 3-inch tilting touchscreen. Built-in flash. WiFi and Bluetooth. 4K 30p video with F-Log. No IBIS — relies on lens OIS where available. Single SD card slot. Minimalist design with few physical controls — touchscreen-oriented.
Commands a premium used due to being discontinued and highly sought-after — the Fujifilm hype effect. The X-E3 is cheaper but older sensor. The X-T30 II offers similar specs with more controls. A beautiful camera for street and travel photography with the right compact prime.
