Fujifilm's latest compact rangefinder-style X-mount mirrorless with updated sensor and features.
The Fujifilm X-E5 was announced on August 28, 2025 as the fifth-generation rangefinder-style mirrorless in the X-E series, featuring a 40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor — the same generation as the X-T5 — with 5-axis IBIS rated at 7.0 stops. This is the first X-E series camera with in-body stabilisation. 6.2K open-gate video at 30fps with 4:2:2 10-bit internal recording.
40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor with X-Processor 5. 5-axis IBIS rated 7.0 stops (6.0 stops at periphery). 6.2K/30fps open-gate video; 4:2:2 10-bit internal. Fujifilm X-mount. Rangefinder-style form factor. Battery: NP-W235 (same platform as X-T5/X-S20). Body weight approximately 438g with battery and card. Verify against fujifilm-x.com/x-e5 for definitive numbers.
The IBIS addition to the X-E5 is the defining upgrade for the X-E series: previous X-E bodies (X-E1 through X-E4) relied entirely on lens OIS for stabilisation. The 7.0-stop IBIS enables stabilised video on all X-mount lenses including those without OIS. The 40.2MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor provides the same resolution as the X-T5 in the compact rangefinder X-E body form.
On the used market the Fujifilm X-E5 is an August 2025 product with no used availability. Condition checks: IBIS operation, rangefinder-style EVF condition, battery and card slot. Verify full specifications against fujifilm-x.com as limited data was available at the knowledge cutoff date. Compatible with all Fujifilm X-mount lenses.
