Fujifilm's latest X100 with 40MP sensor, IBIS, and the same beloved design language.
The Fujifilm X100VI launched in 2024 as the sixth generation of the X100 series and became the most talked-about camera of the year. Adding a 40MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor and 5-axis IBIS to the beloved X100 formula, it addressed the two biggest requests from the X100V community: more resolution and stabilisation.
The 40MP sensor matches the X-T5 and X-H2 for resolving power. 5-axis IBIS provides up to 6 stops of stabilisation, transforming low-light handheld shooting. The redesigned 23mm f/2 lens from the X100V is retained. Film simulation modes now include REALA ACE. The hybrid OVF/EVF viewfinder continues to be unique to the X100 line.
Fujifilm fixed-lens camera with no interchangeable lens capability. The 23mm f/2 provides a 35mm equivalent perspective. Optional wide and tele conversion lenses are available. The X100VI was so popular at launch that waiting lists exceeded six months in many markets.
Extremely high demand on the used market with prices often at or above retail. Check the lens for dust and fungus, verify IBIS operation, and test the hybrid viewfinder. The X100V at lower prices offers the same lens and design without IBIS or the 40MP sensor.
